The change we need in Alamance County is Ramona Allen, who makes change happen every day for those who are in need of essentials for living, housing, clothing, providing resources, working with law enforcement for community safety. Ramona Allen brings hope where it has been lost. If bringing "CHANGE" were a person, it would be a picture of our Candidate, Ramona Allen.

Ramona Allen is an Outreach Pastor at God Encounters Outreach Ministries and a Licensed Minister with over 35 years of service at New Beginners Church. A graduate of Liberty University, where she studied Evangelism, Ramona has dedicated her life to ministry, community service, and using her God-given gift of song, which she has shared for more than 50 years across countless occasions and events.
Her heart for outreach has earned her recognition from numerous organizations throughout Alamance County, including law enforcement and WFMY News 2. Among her many awards are the Citizen Appreciation Award, Above and Beyond Award, Community Advocate Award (City of Burlington Mayor Award), Outstanding Achievement to Alamance County, WFMY News 2’s “To Those Who Care” recognition, and several others highlighting her tireless dedication to the community.
Through her leadership at God Encounters Outreach, Ramona oversees programs that provide free clothing, food, and showers for incarcerated families and individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Chaplain at the Alamance County Jail, she has also facilitated parenting classes for women, offering both guidance and hope. Her ministry work has taken her across North Carolina and beyond, where she has witnessed countless testimonies of healing, deliverance, and provision through the power of prayer.
A lifelong resident of Alamance County, Ramona is committed to putting people before politics. In response to the call to serve even more, she has entered the race for Alamance County Commissioner in the 2026 election. Known for her leadership, dedication, and service, she brings both deep-rooted faith and proven community impact to her vision for the county’s future.
Ramona is also a devoted wife to her supportive husband, Steve Allen, Sr. Together they are blessed with nine children and fourteen grandchildren, who remain a constant source of inspiration in her life and ministry.
